We
all respond to life and living in our very own individualized and
complex way. The way we think and how we relate and
respond to our surroundings, set up habitual patterns in our physical
structure. These habits, unconsciously repeated in daily living and
thereby reinforced over time, may lead to limited functioning. The body
might show signs of aches and pains, stiffness, limited mobility, loss
of balance and structural changes.
The Alexander Technique is concerned with the process of
un-learning habits that are working against a natural and free
structural functioning.
AT lessons are normally taught one-on-one, with an individualized hands-on experiential teaching focus.
Torill Elen Roennekleiv is an AmSAT (American Society for the AT) certified Alexander Technique Teacher residing in Stord, Norway.
She trained with Rose Bronec at the ATU teacher training course in Urbana, Illinois, where also Joan and Alex Murrey's training course is located. This hotspot for the AT provided a broad foundation with lots of hands-on work exposure for Torill. Stephen Parker was her first teacher in Bergen, Norway.
Torill has 22 years of experience in the holistic field and continues to be intrigued and passionate about exploring human potentials, by challenging self-growth and assisting others in their re-discovering process.
